After running Porch and Proper and being all hit with a pandemic that caused us to close our beloved restaurant, we, Patricia and Tony, are happy to announce to our followers and beloved clients, the proximate reopening of our establishment, through a renovated cuisine and an oriental touch, presented in a modern and sophisticated mixture of tastes. 

Having lived and grown in Beirut, and having enjoyed the warmth and richness of the city, the hospitality and generosity of its people, we always felt urged to share our experience with our friends and loyal clients. 

Beirut is a multi-cultural metropolitan city, projected through art and music, landscape and architecture, religious diversity, knowledge and education, tradition and modern creativity, hospitality and generosity, all reflected in every aspect of the way of life, among which emerges “Lebanese cuisine”. 

A cuisine based on sharing, celebrating and gathering the people around the same table and bonding them under a warm ambiance, where a feast of tastes is celebrated. Tastes like the Humus, The Baba Ghanuj, the Tabule Salad, the Kebab, Falafel, Kibbe, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Shawarma etc. 

The accumulated knowledge through generations and the interaction with diverse civilizations contributed to elaborate and develop one of the most extensive healthy cuisines, where oriental spices, garlic, olive oil, lemon, mint, parsley, thyme, eggplant, tahini sesame paste, vine leaves, pine and walnuts, honey and pomegranate, etc.. Are main ingredients, leading to a natural, healthy & highly nutritive Cuisine. A kitchen full of vegetarian food, low in cholesterol, and rich in tastes for the meat and fish lovers. 

Coming from a traditional culinary family, Chef Patricia grew up in the restaurant of her grandfather and her father later on. Since her parents’ business has been passed on from generation to generation, she always felt urged to maintain its family heritage alive by cooking and serving the best quality cuisine. 

The recent painful event that hit the Beautiful city of “Beirut”, where the warm citizens endured the cruelest and harshest explosion which tore their homes and injured their beloved ones, brought to Tony and Chef Patricia deep emotions of sorrow and respect and made them reflex. 

In memory of the dear friends and family we left behind, and the loving inhabitants of Beirut, we seized the opportunity to convert our restaurant into a culinary Lebanese embassy, a way to show support, respect and to highlight the wonderful things that Lebanese people can offer: hospitality, friendliness, generosity, and particularly the marvelous & healthy “Lebanese cuisine”.
